Zoom Meeting Structure & Room Breakdown

The Virtual College Fair will be conducted and presented as a series of virtual meetings across multiple breakout rooms.

The different meetings will function as different halls in a convention center. The different halls will contain different events (College Fair, Senior Seminar, Career Fair, and College Prep Classes).

Zoom Meeting One - Main Hall 1 Triage Volunteer

General Assembly

for introductions and overview

10 universities

– up to 2 breakout rooms per school

Senior Seminar

Two seniors will meet per time slot

VOLUNTEER ROLES

Volunteers will be needed to assist in each meeting in different capacities. Below you will find a list of different volunteer roles that we will need filled.

Registration
Cover one of two areas assigned for student and volunteer registration. Collect paperwork and make sure all students, guests, and volunteers are checked in. Collect post-test and evaluation forms. Assist with clean up.

 

Pre-College Conference Classes
serve as room attendants, making sure that presenters are present, assist the presenter as needed, provide technical assistance (or connect with convention center assistance), and crowd control.

 

Senior Seminar
Assist the representatives, manage time slots, make sure students have pre-registered, and make sure students portfolios are prepared.

 

Zoom Room Monitors
Monitor the Zoom attendees entering and leaving meetings. Monitor the chat in Zoom rooms, answer event questions, and crowd control.

 

Pre-Fair Preparation
serve as room attendants, making sure that presenters are present, assist the presenter as needed, provide technical assistance (or connect with convention center assistance), and crowd control.
