Dear Showcase of HBCU Community,

For years, the Showcase of HBCU College & Career Fair has brought together students, families, educators, volunteers, and university partners with one shared goal: helping college-bound students discover opportunities and take meaningful steps toward their future.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision not to hold the Showcase of HBCU College & Career Fair in 2026.

This year, our team is taking time to strengthen and reorganize our partnerships with the colleges, exhibitors, vendors, and community organizations that help make The Showcase possible.

Our priority has always been to provide students with an enriching experience. One that gives meaningful access to HBCUs, educational resources, and opportunities that can help shape futures. We believe it is important to hold the College & Career Fair only when we are confident that we can provide the quality of experience our students and community have come to expect. While there will not be a College & Career Fair this year, our work continues.

Supporting Students Beyond the College Fair

Education First Foundation, the parent organization of The Showcase of HBCU, remains committed to creating opportunities for college-bound students.

As part of that commitment, we are excited to continue our scholarship efforts, including opportunities for students who have been accepted to an HBCU for the 2027-2028 academic year. More information about scholarship eligibility, applications, and deadlines will be shared soon.

We are also using this time to explore additional ways to support students and families beyond the annual College & Career Fair.

Thank You for Being Part of The Showcase

Whether you have attended the fair, volunteered your time, supported students as an educator, represented a university, served as a community partner, or supported our mission in another way, you have helped make The Showcase what it is today.

We appreciate your continued support as we strengthen our partnerships and prepare for what comes next.

We look forward to sharing more with you soon.
